In the third period, you must be able to submit and present all your finished output to the class by posting all hard copies on the library bulletin board. Upload or posts soft copies of your finished copies in Production Bin Track 1. In between days when you are completing the activities, it is essential that you send a daily update via email to librarian@beaconacademy.ph.

b. Go to World Book Student - How To Do Research page and click Conduct Your Research.
c. Read on the THE LIBRARY and THE DEWEY DECIMAL SYSTEM
d. Answer the following questions:
1. What is the purpose of the DDC?
2. How can a knowledge of the DDC help you in your research?
3. How well do you know your library? What are the things you don't know about your library? Set an interview with your teacher librarian. Be sure you are prepared to ask relevant questions about the library.

The Beacon Academy Library has an Online Public Access Catalog. Go to the Beacon Academy Library Web OPAC Explore the links and the search features of the web OPAC. After that, answer the following questions:
a. What is the call number for?
b. What is the difference between a fiction book's call number to a non-fiction book's call number?
c. What is the bibliographic information about the book, The Great Arab Conquests: How the spread of Islam changed the world we live in?
d. Locate a book by Stephen Hawking and summarise the information found in the book's blurb.
e. How many copies of the book, The Kite Runner are in the library?

d. Answer the following questions:
1. What is the difference between Primary source and Secondary source?

3. Using your knowledge of the library OPAC, give an example of secondary sources that are currently in the library. Come up with a list that has the title, author and call number of the sources.
4. Using World Book Online, search for three examples of primary sources. Include a citation for each following MLA style.
